Storm, Storm, Storm

The past couple days have been "crazy" stormy! Yesterday they closed all the roads leading in and out of the Valley in the morning. Luckily, I work and live in the Valley so I was still able to make it back home safely. (Not quickly but safely!) It was Wayne's day off yesterday, so he didn't get stuck over in Jackson. Thank goodness! Today, it is still snowing but not blowing as hard. Two of the Highways opened back up, but the main ones are still closed! Just wanted to let everyone know that we are safe and sound! ha ha. Can't say the same for my boss's though. They live in Bates (in the flats), and the snow drifts have trapped them in their house!! They had to call in the "special snow plow" to get them out, but everyone is fine. Hey, we live in Teton Valley so we should be use to this, right! Ha Ha. My memory card in my camera is full, so I can't take any pictures. But it is a sight to see! (or not to see, whatever.)

Temple Open House

Last Friday my family and I were able to go to the Rexburg Open House. It was so beautiful! We went through the baptismal font area, the dressing rooms, the sealing room, the terrestrial room and last but not least the celestial room. It is always special to go through any temple, but this one was extra special to me. I was able to see the parts my dad made for the temple. They were on all the stair railings, and also around the baptismal font. It was really neat to see how much they added to the beauty of the temple. Shea suprisingly did really well. She made a couple cute comments during the tour. At the beginning we watched a movie and she would point out the water in the waterfalls. Then in the sealing room, she was waving at herself in the mirrors. It was pretty cute. After the temple open house, we all went to dinner at the Hard Hat. It is a local restaraunt in Rexburg. While we were there, a guy was making an ice sculpture our front of the temple. (It was the theme of the day!)

A Shout Out!

This is a Shout Out to Paige and Caddie. They both work with me at the lodge. They have helped me out a lot the past couple weeks, and I want them to know how much I appreciate them. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! They probably already know this already, but they are 2 of Shea's most favorite people. We love you guys!

Ready to GO!

I just wanted to share some picture of Shea. The past couple nights she has really gotten into dressing up. She loves to put on mom and dad's shirts and shoes.


Last night, she decided she wanted to go outside. So she put on her hat and mom's snow boots (because it has been snowing all day), and of course she can't go anywhere without her purse. Luckily I snapped a picture before she was able to get away! I think she forgot her pants! A side note: She has been doing really good with potty training.

Master Cleanse!

Well, as I thought. I haven't been doing very well with my New Year's Resolution. I did it for about 3 days. I felt fine, but I was really stressed. My boss had a family emergency and had to go to Salt Lake City for at least 2 weeks. I have been working extra hard trying to hold things together! ha ha. A lot of DRAMA! Well, besides the girls at work, I have been putting together a presentation for Yellowstone Teton Territories. This is an organization that focuses on Easter Idaho Tourism. Bob (the owner) and I are going to Rexburg to present it today! And on top of that, I had a sore throat! The cayenne pepper and lemon juice didn't feel all that great going down! Well, that is my excuse. The girls at work and I all decided to do it in March, when not much is going on and work is slow. YEAH, RIGHT. We will see if it happens! ha ha. Also, I really am curious to how much weight I will lose and I didn't weight myself before. Not that I am doing this cleanse for weight lose! It is suppose to give you increased energy, and make your body more healthy. The weight lose is a BONUS!

Rexburge Temple

My dad was able to make a special part for the Rexburg Temple. He made this brass piece that is located on the stair railings. I remember holding one of them in his shop, and they were extremely heavy! It is really cool to see the finished product and all put together. Just wanted to share it with everyone. A New Year!

Wow, 2007 is over! It feels like I blink, and it flew by. Now it is time for a NEW YEAR RESOLUTION! I'm not really good with resolutions, so I don't really make any. But this year is different. It's small, but something. I am going to do a MASTER CLEANSE! It will be hard for me, but with the support of the girls at work. I think I can do it. Three girls at work are going to be my support and do it with me. (Thanks Chelsi, Caddie and Jami!) For those of you who doesn't know what this entails. You have to drink salt water in the morning, drink this lemonade mixture though out the day, then take herbal laxative tea at night. All this for 10 or more days. If all 4 of us have to work together on the same day, then there will be a problem. I call the bathroom first!! This is suppose to cleanse your colon and digestive system the natural and healthy way. I know this doesn't seem like much, but you should always take baby steps before jumping into the race!
