Once again....

Once again we have car problems. This time it is with my car, and is totally my fault! The other day at work, a lady come in crying saying that she had just locked herself out of her trailer. (We have an RV Park) Her husband works at a construction site in Driggs which is about 7 miles away. She asked if I would drive her to her husbands work to pick up the spare key. "HECK NO, THAT'S NOT MY JOB" was what I was thinking, but do you think I told her that. NO. Of course, I'll take you. So she got on the phone with her husband to get directions. He told her that the office is a trailer. And away we went. When we got there, it was all rocks and dirt. And I had to drive from trailer to trailer to find the right one. Well, I totally bottomed out. We finally found the place, and it was not a trailer but an actual building! MEN. I ruined my transmission. We took it to a place here in town, but they were unable to fix it. So they will be taking it to Idaho Falls on Monday. Cross your fingers that we won't have to replace the whole thing. So once again we are stuck with only one car. OYE!

First weeks of July

This is another picture of my very talented daughter. Just look at how she has stacked the blocks behind her. What a smarty pants.

Wayne has been taking 4 wheeler rides up in the hills behind our apartment. Here are just a few of the pictures that he took. On this particular ride, he flipped the 4 wheeler and was pinned underneath it. He definitely knows better not to go alone anymore. Luckily, he and the 4 wheeler walked away with a few scratches.

My little sister Brooke came up from Utah this past weekend to run another Marathon, this time in Driggs. She did really good, and even beat her time from the last marathon she ran in Rexburg. Shea ran a little ways with her, but then was distracted by the swings!

This video was taken just yesterday. Out of no where, the skies darkened and a crazy hale storm came. It was crazy to watch. I was just hoping it wasn't going to dent my car. Good news, it didn't. But I can't say the same to the apartment building. The siding is totally cracked on one side. The Super 8 in Driggs had a lot of damage as well. Kit, a lady I work with, her truck has quite a few dings! Crazy stuff that weather.

Happy Birthday

My dad is officially 50 years old!!!! Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa. We Love You!

I will post some pictures later. They celebrated his birthday at our Family Reunion in Bear Lake, and my camera died. Of course. Wayne and I were able to drive down that afternoon and have dinner with everyone. But of course, we had to drive all the way back that night to go to work the next morning. Grandma wanted to spend time with Shea, so she is down there having a blast! The place they are staying, I swear, is HAUNTED! It is right out of the Discovery Channels A Haunting. (If anyone watches that!) I was kind of nerves about leaving Shea there, but everyone reassured me that she will never be alone! ha ha. My little sister Brooke was so scared she slept with my parents, and she is 19! ha ha!!!!

4th of July

Our 4th of July started out with a Bang. I had to work the morning shift, and I was able to see the hot air balloon rides take off. They went right by the Lodge. It was really neat to see because there were so many and they were very low to the ground.

After work Wayne's friend Matt (aka Bear) stopped by to see little Shea. He lives in Jackson and isn't around much to see her. We decided to go to the Art's and Craft's Fair. As soon as we got there Shea heard the music and started dancing. That is practically all we did. She definitely got her moves from Wayne! ha ha. Because I have no rhythm! (I apologize for the videos. I don't have time to figure out how to rotate them.)

They had some cute stuff at the fair. They had a custom made kids horse and moose. They were kind of like bobble heads in a way, Shea loved them.

After the Fair, we rested up for the fireworks. This year they were held at the Spud Drive In. Matt was volunteering as Security, so he wanted us to be there. We decided to do a couple fireworks off at our apartments before we left. Shea wasn't to sure about them. Every time they went off, she would go and hide. What a silly girl.

The fireworks at the Spud were spectacular! A lot better than what I expected from a small town. Shea was okay with these ones. She thought they were so cool, and made sure to mention when there were any GREEN ones! After the fireworks the Spud played a FREE family movie. So of course we stayed, the movie was WALLE. I didn't get to see much of it because by that time Shea and I were exhausted!! Well, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We sure did!

An Idaho Sunset

This is the view of the Tetons from where I work. I was having a slow moment and decided to take a picture. To me, the Tetons never get old! I am so glad I get to see them everyday.

These other pictures are also taken from where I work. I think they are gorgeous, and my husband always says that "Idaho has the best sunsets." I love the country!
