Halloween

This Halloween we had to celebrate it without Dad. He had to work the evening shift at work, so he missed Halloween. We had a lot of fun though. I wanted to share this picture of Mack because I thought it was so funny. I have never seen him watch TV before. He only watches the Bark Off commercials and only the part with the Golden Retriever. It is really funny too see. He turns away when another dog appears, but as soon as he hears the Golden Retriever bark he will hurry and look again. So cute. We sure do have a good doggie at our house.

The morning of Halloween I had to work. She loves coming to work with me and coloring. She sets up a coloring station all by herself and gets to work.

Sorry, these picture are out of order. Here is Rylee!

Being Halloween and all, she drew a lot of Halloween pictures. Here is a monster with a lot of heads!

I thought this one was the best! She spelled Halloween at the top. She asked me how to spell it and from the other room I told her. She wrote it all by herself with no mess ups. I also love this picture because a the bottom of the paper she spelled her name, but each letter she made into something scary. The S is a snake. The H is a bat. The E is Tiger. The A is a saw. She is so creative and we love her to death.

This year Shea was a tiger. She wanted her face painted, so we went all out this year. It was funny because her preschool had a Halloween Party and all the little girls were Tinkerbell, a Ladybug, a princess but not Shea! She was a Tiger! ha ha.

Showing off her claws.

My little Dragon and Tiger.

I thought it was the cutest thing to watch Rylee try to get up after she fell.

And she is UP!

All the wards in Victor do a Trunk or Treat for the kids. After that I took Shea to a neighborhood and let her do a little door to door. It started to rain, so she was only able to do a couple.

Like I mentioned before, Wayne wasn't able to be with us for Halloween. During Trunk or Treat I didn't want the kids to come to our car and pour the whole bowl into their bag. So I looked this up on the Internet. I decorated the trunk like a monster. While I was with the kids going to the other cars. I put a sign up that said, "Reach in for your treat if you dare." I guess it worked because when we were done, we had a couple more treats left. So I let Shea hand them out. She loved it. ha.

By the end of the night, she looked like this! I only let her have 5 candy's and it was off to bed. Am I mean or what!

It was a long day. We also lost a friend last week. My bosses daughter was killed in a car accident two days before Halloween. She was killed by a drunk driver who was driving on the wrong side of the highway and hit her head on. She was only 21. It's one of the saddest things I have gone through, seeing a mother hurt so bad. I can't even imagine what she is going through losing a child. Wayne and I were able to go to the funeral yesterday and say goodbye to Shantay. It was one of the best funerals I have been too. They did a good job honoring and saying goodbye to her. I am so grateful for the atonement and the peace that it brings knowing that we all will see her again.
